After the composer had passed away, on the 8th of July 1991 the musical community of Cluj-Napoca sustained by 40 founding members, decides to estabilish a foundation with the aim of maintaining and reevaluating the massive spiritual heritage of the musical school mentor from Cluj. Thus the results of his work will be carried on throughout the years to come. At the same time the copyrights, now owned by the Foundation due to the generosity of Dr. G. Toduţă, the son of the composer, will help preserve the composer’s heritage.

At the beginning, two of his important followers, Hans Peter Türk and Dan Voiculescu, have managed to inventory all his manuscripts and to systematize the already existing bookcase in the house where the master had lived for more than three decades. It was a hard work which lasted for three years. Thanks to their effort all those who were interested could access the existent vast material, using all the information for scientific research, studies, articles and PhD Theses, we ought to mention for this purpose the theses of Hilda Iacob and Mihaela Gavriş.
